Los Angeles has Optimus Prime. Toronto has Margaret Atwood. Montreal, meet Mordecai Richler. Chicago gets Obama. New York has Woody Allen. And, everyone else.

Vancouver? Well, they have Michael Buble.

Every city has someone relatively famous than everyone else who always talks about their hometown. They represent they city on the world stage and — even more important — the American stage.

For Vancouver, that’s NBC’s Michael Buble. He’s part-owner of the city’s junior hockey team, the WHL’s Giants, and he’s openly cheesy about Canadian stereotypes.
