“Fresh. Friendly. Familiar… Always.”
It seems Tim Hortons coffee cup-spread slogan is more than just a marketing line, as the Canadian restaurant chain ranked 61st in a recent list of the world’s 100 most loved companies (brands).
The study, conducted by APCO Insight, ranked its listed brands by “Emotional Linking”. Walt Disney (74.7 points), Yahoo (74.3), and Google (74.2) topped the list, while Timmies-ish coffee-providing chains like Starbucks (96th) and McDonald’s (69th) finished behind Canada’s chosen double-double provider.
Tim Hortons finished with 67.6 points on APCO’s list. Other notables in the worldwide top 10 included Netflix (7th with 72.8 per cent), Whole Foods (8th with 72.7), and Apple (9th with 72.7).
Tim Hortons also ranked atop Canadian Business magazine’s list of Canadian brands, published in in April.
“Amongst all brands operating in Canada, including international ones, we ranked Tims tenth out of 40,” wrote CB‘s Kate Wilkinson on Monday.
