The most amazing part of this goal isn’t the amazing goal itself… it’s the lazy reaction Evgeni Malkin gets from the crowd and anybody inside the building. Is he playing in his home country or at Lakehead University?
Malkin threaded Amur’s defence with the same kind of casual dominance he flexed all over the NHL last season, only this KHL crowd appeared to be pretty pedestrian about the whole event. Imagine these guys at a monster truck show.
Regardless of this was an away game or a home game, Malkin’s incredible effort deserved more hand-to-hand praise.
