Buck Showalter has a tortured history of one of baseball’s most consistent managers. After resurrecting championship hopes for teams in New York, Arizona, and (to a lesser extent) Texas, Showalter was shown the door in all three cities before each of them went on to either win multiple World Series, or content for them.
Now, as the steely and composed manager of the Baltimore Orioles, Showalter has a chance for revenge against the Yankees… even if he says different.
