WATCH: Offense Wins Championships, Doesn’t It?
A lot is made of that whole “Defense Wins Championships” thing. Sure, it’s tried, tested, and true. But, has anybody really tested it? After all, maybe Joe Walsh’s West Coast Offense doesn’t get enough credit. Maybe Bart Starr and Lombardi’s legendary attack is overlooked. Maybe, just maybe, the Phoenix Suns could have really changed the game if Tim Donaghy wasn’t paid to throw the series.
As Steve Young and Jason Taylor said on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Football, defense may win championships, but offense leads to defense.
I mean, if you have the ball, how can your opposition?
