Video: New Trailer for James Bond’s 23rd Adventure, “Skyfall” (July 31, 2012)

Are you over The Dark Knight Rises yet? Do you want to be?

Sure, Christian Bale was great and all, and we can talk on-and-on about how Christopher Nolan has created the greatest trilogy of all-time out of nothing but rubble and hope – how bad was Batman & Robin, by the way? – but Daniel Craig is owning 007′s tuxedos and lapels like nobody before.

Oh, sure. Connery is one of GQ‘s most stylish men. Oh, sure. Brosnan is Brosnan. Oh, sure. George Lazenby. Yes, George Lazenby. But, really, Daniel Craig is the man, and if you don’t agree, you only need to watch the blood-thumping trailer for Skyfall above, which was released today (July 31, 2012).

*Of special note is the introduction of Ben Whishaw as Q (brilliant pick, by the way) and some whole storyline about Bond dying and coming back from the dead and not trusting anybody. There’s also the first shots of Javier Bardem as Bond’s blonde nemesis. Okay, can the casting get any better?

*Of another note, the new trailer that is now old was released on Monday. It’s shorter and less descriptive, but it pretty much makes you forget about the reverse shot of Anne Hathaway walking in Catwoman’s suit. (Not really, though.)
