Is there anything better than a movie about an affair? You know, cheating. It’s also called that. Some people call it, “Finding yourself.” Or, being free. Or, a man’s right to choose. And, because both sexes do it, a woman’s right to choose.

Matthew McConaughey’s character from Ghosts of Girlfriends Past calls marriage an “abomination.” An archaic institution.

Cue Take This Waltz, a story about Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams and her straying eyes, which are attracted to some dude named Luke Kirby, which is cool because he has two first names, or at least a first name of a human and another first name of a pink Nintendo character.

He looks like some kind of Mediterranean something.

It really looks like one of those movies you could call beautiful. One of the critics in the trailer says that. “Poignant” might work, too. The lowest part of you wants to say, “Oh, what? It’s okay because they’re in love? What a crock of crack. Yes, crack.”

But, the other part of you can’t help but just smirk and nod silly-fully (word?) to Sarah Silverman’s line:

“Life has a gap in it, it just does… don’t go crazy trying to fill it.”

Props, director Sarah Polley, whoever you are.
