Belated (and Short) Movie Review: Eat, Pray, Love

If you couldn’t tell from my last passive aggressive post about Julia Roberts, I’m watching Eat, Pray, Love. For what reason? I’m not sure. I can’t exactly put into words just how the movie (and then, I guess, the book) misses the mark of common sense or intelligence, but I can just try to name a few… relationships, midlife crises, and “finding yourself”… it’s not charming past the age of 30.
I guess, all I really want to say to Elizabeth Gilbert (the woman who wrote one of the most amazing magazine articles I, or anyone else, has ever read) is this:
“Dear Elizabeth,
Nobody cares about yoga.
Thank you.”
